The medieval castle, the Castello del Mottolo, is at the heart of the estate, while the so-called Hunting Lodge, an elegant 16th century villa which is considered one of the highlights of the area, overlooks the estate from a hill at the foot of the Eugenean regional park.

Today the estate and its owners are wholly dedicated to the production of high-quality wine which has been increasingly winning accolades from leading wine critics all over the world.

Part of the castle and 3 apartments within the buildings of the estate have recently been completely renovated with every comfort for discerning guests, to be rented by theweek to those interested in a cultural and/or wine and food orientated holiday in an incomparable setting.

La Casa di Nando

Named after the farmer who last lived here, the Casa di Nando is a two-storied house with a small private garden, attached to the historical tasting rooms of the estate.

The garden is bordered by a hedge and the large table makes an inviting spot for outdoor meals. A wooden staircase leads from the entrance to the first floor, straight into the living room. There are one double and one twin bedrooms, one bathroom.

The wide kitchten, with a dining area, has 3 windows looking out onto the gardens of the estate, and a traditional marble topped dining table.

The house is equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine and central heating.

Designed by Tom Macaulay, chairman of the British Association of Golf Course Architects, the site comprises an 18-hole course (par 72 / SSS 73, length 6.318 m) and a 9-hole course (par 36 / SSS 36, length 3,012 m) and covers over 200 acres.
Attached to the course are the clubhouse - a converted tobacco warehouse - the excellent Restaurant Relais Golf Montecchia, a bar, a pro-shop and the swimming pool.
Guests are granted a 30 per cent reductions on the green fee.

INCLUDED IN THE RENTAL PRICE

-Linens and a set of 2 towels per person
Should you have rented your accommodation for more than 1 week, the house will be cleaned on Saturdays and the linen will be changed.

-Your accommodation is equipped with a washing machine, dishwasher, oven, fridge with freezer, electric filter coffee machine, iron and ironing board, CD-stereo.

-Soaps and detergents 2 new sponges, 1 tablet of dishwasher detergent, liquid soap in every bathroom, 2 rolls of toilet paper in each bathroom.

-children bed and high chair upon request. Linen is provided.

-The house is equipped with fans.

-The outdoor pool at the adjoining golf club is open from the beginning of June to the middle of September from Tuesday Friday 10.30 am - 7.30 pm free of charge.

EXTRA CHARGES

-Central heating the central heating is turned on centrally. Once the heating has been turned on, the estate will calculate EUR 16,00 per day. If you do not need the heating anymore, please advise someone of the estate so that at the end of your stay you are only charged the actual days you have needed the heating. Thank you.

-Household help available upon request and will be charged EUR 8,00 per hour

-Upon request a mobile phone is available at the office of La Montecchia. The telephone works with prepaid chips.
-A security deposit of € 50,00 is requested

-Extra set of towels EUR 3,50 per week

-Pets are not allowed on the estate
